Account & Billing
How does the free trial work?
You get 30 days with everything the Professional plan includes: unlimited menu items, multiple languages, analytics and team access. No card details are needed to start. We set the trial up during your demo call rather than through a sign-up form, so your menu is already loaded with your real products when you first see it. At the end of the 30 days you pick a plan, or the account goes read-only and we keep your data for another 30 days before deleting it. Nothing is charged automatically, and we will not move you onto a paid plan without you asking.
How do I change my plan?
Change plan from the Subscription section of your dashboard. Upgrades apply immediately and you are charged the difference for the days left in the period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next period, so you keep the features you have already paid for. Nothing is deleted when you move between plans: your menus, images, team members and analytics history all stay. If a downgrade would put you over a plan limit, such as more venues than the new plan allows, we tell you which items are affected before you confirm.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit and debit cards, and the regional payment methods common in Turkey. Annual plans can also be paid by bank transfer, which suits venues that need a formal invoice for accounting. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider, so card details never reach our servers. An electronic invoice goes to your billing email after each payment, and you can change the billing details on it at any time from your account settings.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel from the Subscription section of your dashboard, or email info@neavents.com and we will do it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep full access until then and there is no cancellation fee. Your printed QR codes keep working for the rest of that period. After it ends, your menu stops loading for guests and your account becomes read-only, so you can still sign in and export what you need. We hold your menus, images and analytics for 30 days in case you come back, then delete them.
Getting Started
How do I set up SmartMenu?
We do the first setup with you. On the demo call we take your existing menu, whether that is a PDF, a photo of the printed one or a spreadsheet, and load it in while you watch. Most venues are looking at a working menu inside half an hour. After that you edit it yourself from the dashboard: add a product, change a price, reorder a category. You do not need any technical knowledge and there is nothing to install, on your phone or on the guest's.
How do I get my QR code?
Download it from the QR Code section of the dashboard, as PNG for screens or PDF for print. The PDF is vector, so it stays sharp at table-tent size or on a window decal. One code per venue is enough to start, and you can generate a separate code per table if you want to see which tables get the most scans. The code points at your menu rather than at a fixed file, so editing prices or swapping the whole menu never invalidates anything you have already printed.
How do I update my menu?
Open the dashboard, find the item and edit it. The change is live the moment you save, on every QR code already printed and on every table. There is nothing to republish and nothing to reprint. That applies to anything: a price, a photo, a description, or hiding a dish that has sold out for the evening and bringing it back tomorrow. If several people manage the menu, each change is recorded against whoever made it, so you can see what moved and when.
Can I add multiple languages?
Yes, on Professional and above. You enter the menu once in your own language and add whichever others you want; the first translation is generated for you and you can edit it before it goes live, which matters for dish names that should not be translated literally. Guests do not have to pick a language: their phone's language is detected and the closest match opens automatically, with a switcher if they want a different one. Right-to-left languages such as Arabic are laid out properly rather than mirrored badly.
Technical Questions
Why is my menu loading slowly?
The menu itself is a few kilobytes and is served from the edge location nearest the guest, so the usual cause is images. A photo taken on a modern phone is several megabytes; the dashboard compresses what you upload, but a menu with a large photo on every item is still a lot to download on a crowded 3G cell. Check your image sizes first. If the menu is slow on a phone that is fast on other sites, send us the venue name and the approximate time and we will look at the request logs for it.
My QR code isn't working, what should I do?
First try a different phone. Most reported failures turn out to be one camera app rather than the code, and older Android cameras sometimes need the QR scanner enabled in settings. Then check the physical code: a scratched, wet or partly covered code will not scan, and codes printed smaller than about 2cm across are unreliable at arm's length. If it still fails, generate a fresh code from the dashboard. Old codes stay active, so you can put the new one out without pulling the old ones the same day.
Does my menu work offline?
Not yet. Menu Station, the small on-site device that serves the menu over your own network when the internet drops, is still in development and is not something you can buy today. On the current plans a guest needs a working connection to open the menu, although it is built to load on a weak one: the menu is served from a network of edge locations, and it is a few kilobytes rather than a PDF. If offline is a requirement for your venue, tell us on the demo call and we will let you know when the hardware is ready.
